St. Lourdes Church is also known as Our Lady of Lourdes Church is located in Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu. St. Lourdes Church is located inside the campus of St. Joseph’s College Trichy. The Church towers stand like a dazzling Mysterious tower lightening the skyline which attracts the visitors quickly. The Church was constructed in the year 1895 in the Gallo-Catholic design. The Main Tower is 220 feet in height, the Small Tower is 120 feet in height and both are visible from 8 km radius. The church bell is set at a height of 90 feet. Massive walls, round pillars and topped arches are typical of the normal style of architecture. The church is a fine example of the blend of Europe and Indian sensibilities within the framework of Gothic architecture.

The Lady was sawed by a pleasant girl for the first time in a cave and she told her mother about the lady. The legend of Our Lady of Lourdes travelled far and wide and came to India also with its colonists and that’s how the Church was built in Trichy.
